BUCKEYE, Ariz. (KSAZ) -- Officials with Buckeye Police have announced the arrest of a 34-year-old man, accused of sexually abusing, sexually assaulting, and molesting two young girls.
According to a statement released Tuesday, Ruben Gomez has been booked on 36 counts of sexual abuse, sexual assault, and molestation-related charges. The investigation began when a juvenile female told an adult at her elementary school of the allegations. During the investigations, detectives found a second victim, with whom Gomez allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with for about 10 years. A search warrant was served on Gomez's home, which yielded evidence related to the alleged crimes.
Gomez, according to the statement, has been booked into the 4th Avenue Jail, and is being held on a $75,000 cash bond.
