Buckeye residents wake up to chaotic scene following Friday night's storm

A strong monsoon storm spread across the valley Friday night.
Some residents in a Buckeye neighborhood say it was so bad that at times it felt like a tornado ripped through their street.
Powerful winds, hail and flooding rain ripped through this neighborhood.
We spoke to a valley woman who said it was so bad her neighbor's refrigerator ended up in her yard...
"Just heard this big roar, lights went out immediately, and it just sounded like a tornado hit."
Latoya Cooper is slowly starting to pick up the pieces of her life today after last night's storm tore through her neighborhood.
“A vehicle that I have parked in the backyard and that’s been totaled- windows shattered, my neighbors shed uprooted and blew into our yard, caused some damage there's also the refrigerator sitting in our backyard."
Latoya says the hail, which was bigger than the size of a quarter, was so strong it chipped the paint off her home.
And even though she's born and raised out here, nothing could have prepared her for last night.
"I've lived out here all my life and we've been through some storms before, but nothing this bad... not this bad."
As Latoya showed us her damage, her neighbors were busy fixing their ac unit, which had blown off the roof leaving a massive hole… and they weren’t the only ones.
"I have a cousin that lives caddy corner from us and their AC blew off left a hole in the roof also the church when you first drive in, they also had the AC blow off and the steeple blew off the top."
Latoya says she’s grateful that no one was hurt -- adding that the red cross has also been helpful.
"They setup a shelter at Buckeye High School, so that was nice of them to come out"
To make matters even worse, it's Latoya's birthday today.
She says she's going to spend it by cleaning up and calling the insurance company.
