Building evacuated for underground vault explosion

PHOENIX - An underground electrical vault has exploded outside a building in west Phoenix, leading to the evacuation of nearly 50 people from the structure on Saturday morning.

Phoenix fire crews are on the scene handling the evacuations, and while several windows were blown out, they say there is no active fire. Hazmat teams from Phoenix Fire and Glendale Fire are on-scene assessing the situation.

A spokesperson says there are no injuries and everyone inside the building is safe.
