Car crashes into home with 5 children asleep inside

A car slammed into a west Phoenix home and barely missed a sleeping child.
Now Glendale Police are on the lookout for the driver who sideswiped another car, sending it barreling into the front of a home.
"Sometimes they have nightmares, so I'm thinking that they had a nightmare," said Miko Roth.
Roth says her entire family woke up to a living nightmare in the early morning hours on Wednesday. A car crashed right into the bedroom that her boys ages 8, 5, and 3 were sleeping in.
"I couldn't get in the door, I had to shove the door open, it was against the door at that point," said Roth.
Once inside the room, Roth ushered her boys to safety, gathered her two younger daughters, and assessed the damage. Drywall and cinder blocks were scattered everywhere.
"The neighbors were banging on the door at that point, they're like there's probably a gas leak," said Roth.
"It was loud, it shook our house as well," said Carolina Hickman.
Glendale Police say the car that hit the house was traveling west on Camelback at 75th Avenue and was sideswiped. The driver lost control, drove over a median, through landscaping, and into a garbage can sending trash everywhere.
"A red Malibu rear-ended the white car that was in my house and sent it flying into my house," said Roth.
"I believe it was a Chevy Malibu with front end damage, surprised someone made it out and ran," said Hickman.
Hickman snapped pictures of the car and hopes someone recognized it.  In the meantime, she's just as relieved as Roth is that no one else was hurt.
