Car pierced by pipe in Phoenix; no one hurt

Talk about a close call!

DPS officials say no one was hurt, after a debris that resembles a pipe pierced a car's windshield in the Phoenix area Thursday.

The photo was posted onto the DPS' verified Twitter page late Thursday afternoon.

According to DPS officials, the incident happened at around 6:30 a.m. Thursday, on westbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) near Center Street. The driver, identified as a man, told DPS troopers he moved his head to the right, as the pipe pierced the windshield.

Officials say based on the trajectory, the pipe was heading straight for the man's head. The man flew out of town after the incident.
