CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Casa Grande police have arrested a 14-year-old student who they say made threats to other students to "shoot up the school."
According to Thomas Anderson, a spokesperson for the Casa Grande Police Department, the teen made the threats at Cactus Middle School on February 21.
Police say the teen was isolated once school staff learned of the threats, who then contacted police.
No students or staff were injured and no weapons were found on the teen or at the school.
Police say they are in contact with the school's administration, local health organizations and the teen's parents.
The teen was booked into the Pinal County Juvenile Detention Center on charges of threats and intimidation.
