Lockdown lifted at Chandler High School as police search for suspect

CHANDLER, Ariz. (KSAZ) - A lockdown has been lifted at Chandler High School after police say a suspect crashed her car into another vehicle in the parking lot and tried to hit a school resource officer before leaving the scene.

According to the Chandler Police Department, the girl crashed her red Chevy passenger car into another vehicle in the parking lot and tried to hit the officer before driving through a fence.

The vehicle was found abandoned south of the high school and police are searching for the suspect.

The school was placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure.
