Chandler teen robbed while playing Pokemon Go

The new Pokemon Go app is not all fun and games for one Chandler teen. He was out playing Pokemon Go at Desert Breeze Park when he got attacked.
Now one person has been arrested and booked for the robbery.
Most of the players at chandler's Desert Breeze Park play quietly and politely.  Some chat each other up here and there but Tyler Mungia had a much different experience and he says it all started with an innocent prank. He loudly announced to a crowd that he had found a rare Pokemon when he hadn't.
"Some people thought it was funny but this one group of people really didn't think it was funny. They told me that is a good way to get jumped. And I turned around and I was like what," said Tyler Mungia.
He says that group followed him and some friends as they walked through the park around 11 p.m. Sunday. Then one of them moved in.
"Bam he takes my phone and starts running the other way my fight or flight response kicked in.  I ran after him and grabbed him and tried to get my phone but it wasn't there," he said.
His friends called police and according to Chandler PD's report, the park was busy. More than 100 people were there so officers had plenty of witnesses. They also spotted Tyler's phone a few feet underwater in the lake.
"The cops walk with me and went over there and I had to take my shoes off and roll up my pants and grab it with my foot and pull it out," said Mangia.
Chandler Police arrested 24 year old Joshua Hempstead and booked him robbery and criminal damage.
"I wasn't looking for trouble I was just looking to have some fun.  And it is sad that people like that are doing this out here. People my age come out here to play my mom comes out here to play," he said.
Unfortunately, Tyler's mom is recently unemployed so shelling out hundreds of dollars for a new phone isn't going to happen anytime soon. The phone's insurance doesn't cover water damage so he's made a GoFundMe account.
