City Clerk answers questions about election canvassing

The City of Phoenix Clerks Office is getting a lot of calls from residents concerned about people knocking on their doors and asking to pick up their ballots.
While it's not illegal, there are some things voters should watch out for.
At City Hall hundreds have gathered to cast their ballot inside. Meanwhile, canvassers have knocked on hundreds of doors, trying to get the vote and collect ballots.
It's not voter fraud; it's legal.
The city says as long as the canvasser does not imply he/she works for the city; they are not doing anything illegal.
The canvasser can suggest ways to vote, ask how they voted, and even help residents fill out their ballot.
