Combs HS student headed to Harvard

A San Tan Valley teen found out she got accepted into Harvard, and it was a scene that played out three times as she got into three Ivy league schools and several top notch universities. It's a major accomplishment, and now this teen has graduated high school and is starting her next journey.
Not only did Cyndee Colpaert get into Harvard, but she also got offers from Yale, Dartmouth, Rice, Vanderbilt, and the University of Virginia. She chose Harvard, one of the most selective of the schools and her reaction when she got in was priceless.
"I didn't really think about going to big colleges until about junior year, when I was looking at SAT scores and my gPA was like, okay maybe, why not try them," said Cyndee Colpaert.
Her mom Doris had cameras rolling when Cyndee found out she got into Harvard. Then a few minutes later she opened an e-mail from Yale and was accepted there too.
Her mom says she is extremely proud of her daughter, with a 4.59 GPA, and juggling academics while also playing three sports.
"And she came home at 11 or 12 o'clock, and she'd still have three hours of homework, and she's like I'll handle it, I'll get it done. She's studying on the bus, studying in school time, and she did it," said Doris Colpaert.
Despite all her accomplishments Cyndee has remained very humble about the whole thing. She says she doesn't want to come across as bragging. But it was hard to hide when her proud mom decorated Cyndee's car.
"My mother drew all over my car "Go Harvard" and the first thing I wanted to do was wipe it off, but she held me back for a little bit," said Cyndee.

Cyndee has plans to be a neurosurgeon and i'm sure we'll be hearing a lot more about her in the future.
