PHOENIX (FOX 10) -- Court documents show a Casa Grande man is accused of luring a person he believed to be a 14-year-old girl.
According to the documents, Ruben Perez Cecena, 39, is being charged with child sex trafficking involving a minor that is under the age of 15, luring, and unlawful age misrepresentation. Cecena contacted the person, described in court documents as a "14-year-old persona", between March 23 and April 9, and the communication took place via social media and text message. Cecena allegedly solicited the person for sex, and offered to pay $100 in exchange for various sexual acts.
Cecena, according to the documents, was arrested in the area of Desert Breeze Boulevard and Ray Road, which is near McClintock Drive and Ray Road in Chandler. Cecena was arrested, after he arrived at a designated location to meet up with the persona. At the time of his arrest, he was found with the cell phone he used to communicate with the persona, $80 in cash, and condoms.
A cash-only bond of $50,000 has been set for Cecena, according to court documents. If he is released on bond, Cecena will be required to undergo electronic monitoring, and will be banned from having any contact with minors.
