GLENDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Some say it is of the greatest rock bands in the world, and on Friday, Metallica will take the stage in Glendale, for one of the biggest concerts of the year.
The band, along with several special guests, will be out at University of Phoenix Stadium for the concert, with the gates opening at 4:00 p.m., and the show scheduled to get underway at 6:00 p.m..
The concert may be scheduled for Friday, but it has taken crews three days to build the tour stage. The stage features a 8,000 square foot high definition video screen, which is larger than the typical IMAX screen, and crews will also run over five miles of cable.
In addition, the entire concert will use enough electricity to power 1,800 homes for a month.
