Deadly Glendale crash under investigation

GLENDALE (KSAZ) - Police are investigating a deadly crash in Glendale to see whether it may be DUI-related.

The two-car collision happened just before 7 o'clock on Saturday evening near 51st Avenue and Olive.

Glendale Police say the driver of a white pickup truck was heading north on 51st Avenue when for an unknown reason the driver crossed the center line and drove head-on into a silver sedan.

The driver of the sedan, 59-year-old Sabina Levi, was killed. The other driver, 37-year-old Noe Padilla, was taken to the hospital but is expected to survive.

Investigators say impairment may be a factor in the deadly collision. The investigation is ongoing.
