Teenager killed in mobile home fire in Phoenix

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A teenager is dead after he ran back into a burning mobile home in Phoenix on Sunday morning.

The flames broke out early this morning at a mobile home near I-17 and Buckeye Road at 2:30 a.m.

Police say a family of five escaped their burning home, but an 18-year-old man ran back inside to retrieve some items.

He never made it back out alive, police say.

It's not clear what caused their home to catch fire.

A crisis response team and Red Cross workers are on the scene helping the family find a new place to stay.
