Deadly shooting in west Phoenix Sunday morning

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Phoenix police are investigating a deadly shooting in a home in west Phoenix early Sunday morning.

Police say a man was shot at about 5:15 a.m., at a home near 21st Avenue and Cactus. They say they know the identity of the victim in the shooting, and they are actively working to locate the alleged shooter.

Phoenix fire crews say the man was shot in the stomach and was later pronounced dead.

Police say the weapon was recovered on-scene, and that the suspect and victim knew one another and got into some type of argument before the shooting broke out.

The suspect is reportedly driving a late model white Chevy pickup truck.
