PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Authorities say a wrong-way driver was arrested following a crash in Phoenix early Monday morning.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the wrong-way driver was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of State Route 51 north of Thomas Road when the vehicle struck a Honda CRV.
The wrong-way driver, a male in his 20s, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Honda CRV suffered minor injuries but was not hospitalized.
DPS says impairment is suspected in the crash and the suspected wrong-way driver will be booked into jail after he is released from the hospital.
