Driver hurt after car crashes into Phoenix CVS

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A driver was seriously injured after crashing into the front of a CVS store in Phoenix.

Phoenix police say the car crashed into the store near 35th and Peoria Avenues. The driver was seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital.

As a result of the crash, Peoria Avenue was shut down in both directions just west of 35th Avenue for several hours.

Police are still investigating why the driver veered off the road and crashed into the building.
