Driver killed when he crashes into fence

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A man has died after he was thrown from a seat belt and crashed into a fence.

The deadly crash happened near 40th Drive and Northern at about 2:40 a.m, according to Phoenix Police. Officers say the 31-year-old man behind the wheel drove into oncoming traffic.

They say he crashed into the fence, and was thrown from the vehicle. The victim was not wearing a seatbelt.

Officers are investigating what led up to this deadly collision.
