East Coast man starts fundraiser for supplies after seeing Valley teacher posting pay stub online

PHOENIX (FOX 10) -- Remember when Arizona teachers were protesting their pay over a year ago?

One Valley teacher posted her pay stub online in a social media post that has since gone viral.

"I've had hundreds of teachers say my paycheck looks just like that," said Elisabeth Milich, at the time. "I know I don't make a lot of money, but to see it in black and white, I said 'Wow! I really don't make a lot.'"

At the time, Milich made just over $35,000 a year, before taxes.

"What you saw is not a reflection of any deductions, health insurance, pension," said Milich at the time. "Every other week, my pay is $639. Every two weeks. That's not livable."

That post managed to get the attention of an East Coast man, who is now doing what he can to help her and other teachers.
