Eloy Police search for attempted murder suspect

The Eloy Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating Joaquin Coronado-Saavedra, who is wanted for attempted murder in the shooting of his estranged girlfriend.

Authorities say on April 4 at about 9:40 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 3400 block of West Colusa Drive. When they arrived at the scene, they found a woman in the street with a gunshot wound to her head and neck. A second victim was found with minor gunshot wounds.

"Joaquin Coronado is suspected of shooting his estranged girlfriend and another family member before fleeing in the victim's vehicle - a maroon 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe, Arizona License Plate BBW2016. Coronado is 40 years old, date of birth 5/20/1975, 5'10", 180 pounds, brown hair and brown eyes. He is considered armed and dangerous," stated EPD's Sgt. Brian Jerome.
