Text message to table: Grandma enjoys unforgettable Thanksgiving with teen she accidentally invited

MESA, Ariz. - After an accidental text by a woman to a teenager, the families of Wanda Dench and Jamal Hinton gathered for a Thanksgiving dinner that no one anticipated would happen, until that fateful text.

"I was not expecting this," said 17-year-old Hinton.

Last week, Dench sent out a text message to her family to invite them to Thanksgiving dinner, but she also accidentally sent the text to a stranger -- Hinton.

They sent each other selfies and realized it was a mistake, but Dench decided to invite the teen anyway.

"It means so much to me that she was just so open and welcoming. I mean, to her house.. a total stranger and there's really good people out there in the world," said Hinton.

Hinton joined Dench and her family for an unforgettable Thanksgiving dinner.

"Good food and good company. It's been awesome," said Dench.
