PHOENIX (FOX 10) -- A Phoenix family is mourning the loss of their beloved wife, mother and grandmother, 64-year-old Maria Corona who was killed in a house fire in south Phoenix on January 12.
Corona's family says she was the glue of the family, always opening her doors to anyone she knew
The fire broke out Saturday at 7:30 a.m. near Broadway and 15th Avenue.
Corona's husband was able to escape the fire that destroyed the home he and Maria shared for more than 25 years.
The Corona's tell Fox10 everything in the home was damaged, including their cars, leaving them without transportation.
They are hoping that with the help of the community they can work to rebuild a home.
