Even though she's now in her late-50s, Laura Anderson's older sister, Kris, will always be 23-years-old.

In September of 1975, Kris disappeared from her Phoenix apartment. Her car was found a couple of miles away in what was then the remote desert area of 51st Avenue and Bell. Her little sister, Laura, was just 17-years-old and remembers her family's plan and efforts to find her.

"They hired a private detective," Laura said. "It's awful, you don't know where she is, you don't know what happened."

Suspicion almost immediately turned to Kris' ex-husband, Russel Perkins, who Laura said told the family that Kris would never be found.

"Everybody pointed to him and maybe it wasn't right... they could never get anywhere," she said. "They had no leads."

Laura says she believes her sister was killed and her body was hidden somewhere. Laura says Kris' extensive dental work would help identify her remains if they are ever found.
