Fatal crash involving 4 vehicles shuts down Avondale intersection

AVONDALE, Ariz. -- Avondale police are investigating a fatal crash involving four vehicles near Dysart and Osborn roads.

The collision happened at about 3:22 p.m. on Thursday, resulting in one fatality and three additional victims being transported to an area hospital for treatment. Officer Jaret Redfearn says the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

During the investigation, Northbound Dysart Road at Thomas Road and southbound Dysart Road at Indian School Road will remain closed.

No names have been released in this case.
