US 60 back open after deadly crash leaves about a dozen injured

Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers are investigating a deadly crash on the US 60 in Apache Junction on Saturday.

Troopers say one person was killed in the two-vehicle crash before 6:30pm on Saturday evening. Two people were riding in a sedan when it crashed into a van carrying about a dozen people.

DPS troopers say ten patients were transported from the scene to hospitals. Westbound US 60 was closed for the crash, and most lanes re-opened by about 9pm.
