Firefighters, police escort daughter of late battalion chief to first day of school
GILBERT, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Firefighters and police lined the streets on Thursday to escort the daughter of a late battalion chief to her first day of school.
Hundreds of firefighters head on to Campo Verde High School campus to escort the daughter of Gilbert Battalion Chief James Nelson to school today. Gilbert Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief James Nelson passed away on August 1 and first responders honored Chief Nelson by lining the streets outside of Campo Verde High School to escort his daughter to her first day of school.
