FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (FOX 10) - Flagstaff Police are investigating a possible hate crime after a synagogue was found burglarized and damaged.
Police say sometime between March 22 and March 25 the Chabad of Flagstaff Synagogue on University Avenue was burglarized and damaged.
Officers found damage to multiple rooms saying the vandals carved what appeared to be swastikas in the walls. The hate symbols were also found painted on the windows. Several power tools were also damaged.
Investigators said fingerprints and biological evidence swabs were collected for further investigation.
Meanwhile, Flagstaff Police officials say the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has offered a $2,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. People with information on the incident should call Flagstaff Police at (928) 679-4098, or Flagstaff's Silent Witness at (928) 774-6111.
