Flagstaff Police searching for stabbing suspect

Flagstaff Police officials say they are looking for a woman, in connection with a stabbing that happened Monday morning.

According to Sgt. Cory Runge, police responded to the 3000 block of N. Rose Street at around 10:53 a.m., to a report of a stabbing. When officers arrived, they found a male victim with what appeared to be serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect, according to Sgt. Runge, was described as a Native Americans, and was last seen wearing a brown dress. According to some witnesses, the suspect was seen running in the area near Coconino High School, where she reportedly asked a student for a ride. After learning of the incident, high school officials ordered a shelter in place.
