Four Chihuahuas found abandoned will go up for adoption

Four Chihuahuas who were found abandoned outside the Arizona Humane Society will be going up for adoption.

A spokesperson for the agency says on Wednesday morning, workers found the four little dogs in a cage outside AHS near 13th Avenue and Dunlap. The animals were huddled together to stay warm in the cold temperatures.

After they were checked out by a veterinarian, the four dogs will be going up for adoption. AHS workers are hoping to find homes for the four dogs in time for the holidays.

A shelter spokesperson says there is no reason to abandon helpless pets outdoors in cold temperatures when people can turn them over to the agency in person.

Anyone interested in adopting one of the Chihuahuas can contact the Arizona Humane Society.
