Gilbert girl whose anti-bullying video went viral honored at White House

A Gilbert girl whose anti-bullying video went viral on social media was honored Monday at the White House by First Lady Melania Trump.

"In the video she said, 'everyday, you're hurting me. Everyday, you're hurting each other. So please stop. Stop hurting me'." said the First Lady, who also unveiled her public awareness campaign in her biggest public appearance to date.

"Be Best" day focuses on childhood well-being, and she focused on Kalani.

"Thank you Kalani for being brave enough to share you story, and also for using your experience to bring positive change," said the First Lady.

"I know it's a big responsibility, but I think I can handle the responsibility because I always think I'm an empathetic and emotional person," said Kahlani, in a Skype interview. "Like, I cried all the time. It doesn't matter if I'm happy, mad, sad, I cry."
