Glendale homicide suspect turns himself in to police

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Glendale say a suspect in a homicide case has turned himself in.

Glendale police spokeswoman Tiffany Smith says 39-year-old William Bradfield went to a Phoenix police station shortly after 1 a.m. Friday. Bradfield reportedly told police he was prompted by the release of his photo to news outlets.

He has since been booked on one count of second-degree murder, two counts of kidnapping and one count of felony threats.

Investigators say 44-year-old Rose Watford suffered a stab wound and other physical injuries Monday. She later died at a hospital.

Police say Bradfield and the victim were acquaintances but there was probable cause for the arrest.

It wasn't known Friday if Bradfield had an attorney.
