Good samaritan who helped rescue children from crash speaks

PHOENIX (KSAZ) -- New details have been released on a crash from over the weekend that left a young mother dead. Two people have now been arrested accused of trying to run from the scene.

The aftermath of this devastating crash on the I-10 early Saturday morning is a mother of four taken from her children. The victim was identified as 29-year-old Marisela Noriega. Thankfully, the woman's two young children survived after they were rescued by a good samaritan, and they're doing okay tonight.

"She was too young. She just had all these babies," said the victim's older sister, Leticia Robles. "It's still unbelievable. It still feels like a nightmare. Doesn't feel like it's real."

Ortega was stopped behind a car that ran out of gas when someone plowed into her from behind. In the car were three of her four young children, and good samaritans came to the rescue. On Monday, there was an emotion reunion with one of the good samaritans. FOX 10's Matt Rodewald reports.
