GOODYEAR, Ariz. (FOX 10) - Police say $216,000 worth of methamphetamine was seized after being found inside a car driven by two men in Goodyear.
According to the Goodyear Police Department, officers pulled a vehicle over for speeding on May 14 near Interstate 10 and Bullard Avenue.
Both the driver and passenger inside the vehicle, identified as 60-year-old Rito Delgado Renteria and 53-year-old Blanca Moncada, were acting nervous and giving conflicting statements to officers.
A police K-9 alerted officers to the presence of illegal drugs inside the vehicle and after a search warrant was obtained, officers found 45 individually wrapped bundles of meth at a total street value of $216,000.
Police say charges of transportation of dangerous drugs will be submitted for Renteria and Moncada, who are both from Yucaipa, California.
