Grandmother and two children burned in fire

A grandmother and two young children were burned when their mobile home caught fire near 19th Avenue and Buckeye.

"It was horrible, the flames, they couldn't go inside the door or nothing," said Marisol Oliva.

Marisol Oliva, who lives next door, says she and her husband saw the flames and jumped into action.

"He went over to the other side, I threw the water hose, and he started spraying. The lady threw the baby out and then she climbed through the window and jumped out herself with the flames all over her," said Oliva.

Marisol's husband got another child out of the home. Another neighbor called 9-1-1 but by the time firefighters arrived the flames were already out. The grandmother and two children who are 2 and 4-years-old were burned.

"I got the 2-year-old with the blanket and just waited for the emergency to come," said Oliva.

Crews are still trying to figure out what caused the fire.
