Hayden Police looking for person who tried to abduct 13-year-old boy

HAYDEN, Ariz. (FOX 10) -- Police in Hayden say a man tried to abduct a 13-year-old boy in the area Tuesday evening.

According to a statement posted on the department's verified Facebook page, the incident happened at around 6:35 p.m., when the 13-year-old reported being approached by an unknown man in a newer model dark blue or black truck, The man summoned the boy, and when the boy turned to run, the man left the truck, and chased the boy towards the school. The boy was later able to locate his coach, and they called 911.

The suspect is described by Hayden Police officials as a "light skinned man" about 6' tall, and wearing a dark colored bandana over his face. Police say there may have been a passenger in the truck that the suspect was in at the time of the incident.
