Hidden camera found in Chandler home, former tenant arrested

A Chandler man found a recording device hidden inside a vent in his kids' bathroom shortly after moving into his new house.
Investigators believe the camera had been there for years.
After a months-long investigation they arrested the previous tenant of the home.
Chandler police say the camera was put in the home by a previous tenant who trying to spy on his wife. When he moved out, he left it there. 
The camera was found in an air vent inside the bathroom used by the new tenant's two children.
"Immediately I kind of knew it was some kind of electrical device."
The tenant did not want to be identified but said for the past four years he had no idea the recording device was set to view was happening in the bathroom.
"Feeling violated. Of course I am the father of two young daughters and my daughters use that restroom. It was creepy and I was really upset."
"I got up inside the attic and sure enough there was a DVR box that was laying just on the insulation just as you enter inside the attic."
According to court documents, Chandler Police found more than 1,000 videos on the DVR dating back to 2011 and 2012.
They captured people using the toilet, showering, brushing their teeth and washing their hands.
Investigators were able to trace the device back to a previous tenant, Jason Meckelburg. 
According to police the people captured on video were Meckelburg's own family members.
Investigators says he admitted to setting up the recording device to try to catch his wife cheating on him.
"It was definitely was a relief knowing that none of my family members were on it."
Police say he told them that setting up the camera was a mistake and he never found any evidence of infidelity.
