PHOENIX (FOX 10) - Police say a man is in custody after shooting a victim overnight outside his own Phoenix home.
According to Phoenix Police, the incident happened near the 2000 block of E. Yale Street at around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. The suspect, since identified as 48-year-old Christopher Wingo, got into an argument with the victim, identified as a 56-year-old man, after removing him and others from the property. After pointing a gun at the victim, Wingo escorted the victim off of his property and followed him while police were being called.,
During this time, police officials say the victim turned and charged at the suspect, who then shot the victim. The victim is listed in extremely critical condition at a hospital. Meanwhile, Wingo has been taken into custody, and has been booked into jail accused of aggravated assault and an unrelated manslaughter charge from a different incident with a different victim.
