'Horned' man arrested in domestic-violence attack

Police arrested a "horned" man after he allegedly attacked his wife with a knife during a domestic violence dispute.

According to court paperwork, 53-year-old Juan Rodriguez was arrested after he allegedly cut his wife with a knife while the couple argued inside their Glendale home near 55th and Peoria Avenues on May 29.

When police arrived at the scene, the victim said her husband accused her of cheating on him and attacked her with a knife during an argument.

Rodriguez allegedly pulled an 8-inch serrated knife from his waist band and swung it at his wife. During the altercation, Rodriguez's wife was cut on her arm.

The victim's daughter ran into the room and pulled Rodriguez off of his wife and took the knife away from him.

When officers arrived at the scene, Rodriguez told them he "kind of blacked out with rage" and that he didn't mean to cut her.

Rodriguez has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
