PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Wednesday was Valentine's Day, and inspired by that, many couples decided to take their relationship to the next level.
Local courthouses were packed with couple tying the knot, with each couple promising to become each other's "forever" valentine.
At the Maricopa County Justice Courts, dozens of couples lined up to make their union official on Wednesday. Some say they were nervous, and some say they wanted to get married on the anniversary of th em becoming a couple.
One man, Marcos, met his now-wife Alice at a bar seven years ago. Since then, Marcos knew she was the one.
"We were drinking and she seemed like a very cool gal," said Marcos. "So I was like, 'why don't you be my girl', and 7 years later, bang!"
For one couple, they decided it was time to tie the knot, after 23 years of being together.
"We're starting a new chapter in our lives, and we're adopting our grandson, so we just figured let's do it," said the bride.
