Body found in Mesa Tuesday night identified as that of missing woman

MESA, Ariz. (FOX 10) -- Mesa Police officials say a body that was found in the city Tuesday is that of a misssing woman.

According to a statement, officers responded to the 7200 block of E. Arbor for a suspicious activity call on Tuesday. When officers arrived, the person who made the call said there was a dead person on the premises.

On Wednesday, Mesa Police officials say the body is that of Valerie Fairchild, who has been missing for over a week. The body was reportedly found in a very obscure location, and was missed by detectives who visited the residence several times during the investigation.
