Knights of Columbus gave Valley families warm Thanksgiving meal

PHOENIX (KSAZ) -- This Thanksgiving will be more joyous for two Valley families, thanks to the Knights of Columbus, who made sure they would have a warm Thanksgiving meal.

A warm Thanksgiving meal was not something John and Ester expected. The two are homeless, and it's not known where their next meal would come from, but thanks to guys with big hearts this Thanksgiving eve, they received a turkey, and all of their fixings.

Also, they got a pie.

For one of the families that received a meal, they lost a family member to a massive heart attack last month, and said they are always grateful for the meal.

Grand Knight Howard Bell with Knights of Columbus St. Francis Xavier Parish says two families are chosen a year.

"We want to make sure that they're able to eat, spend time with their family," said Bell.
