PEORIA, Ariz. (KSAZ) - A man has been arrested in connection to a six-vehicle crash in Peoria on Monday.
Peoria police say 32-year-old Brian McCormick has been arrested and charged with suspicion of DUI after a crash involving six vehicles happened at the intersection of 91st Avenue and Cactus at 1:30 p.m.
Police say McCormick was traveling westbound on Cactus at a high-rate of speed, when he ran a red light and hit two other vehicles traveling north and three traveling south on 91st Avenue. Three people were transported to a hospital after the collision and one remains in critical condition.
All are expected to survive.
McCormick has been charged with suspicion of DUI, aggravated assault, endangerment, driving under the influence of drugs, reckless driving and speeding.
The investigation is ongoing and there may be further charges.
The intersection of 91st Avenue and Cactus was closed for several hours on Monday.
