Man arrested for DUI after driving wrong-way on Scottsdale road

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - A man was arrested and charged with an extreme DUI after driving the wrong-way on Indian School Road early Friday morning.

Scottsdale police say 22-year-old Armando Lucero was driving his red Jeep Cherokee the wrong way on Indian School at 3:24 a.m. Police stopped Lucero after he drove into oncoming traffic for several blocks.

Police also say Lucero's Jeep struck a tree while driving in Phoenix, however, no collision scene was found.

Lucero was arrested for an extreme DUI and a passenger in the Jeep was taken to a local hospital for excessive alcohol consumption.
