Man critically hurt in Fountain Hills shooting

FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Maricopa County Sheriff's Deputies are searching for a suspect who critically injured a man in a shooting on Saturday afternoon.

Deputies say 23-year-old Sydney Van was shot in an apparent drive-by shooting in Fountain Hills at about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

They say the victim was rushed to Scottsdale Osborn Hospital in critical condition.

He is undergoing surgery this morning, MCSO says.

Deputies say the suspect was in a red Chrysler 200, and it's unknown if there was a passenger in the vehicle.
