Man shot and killed in valley neighborhood

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A man was shot to death in a valley neighborhood late Tuesday night and police are searching for a suspect.

Phoenix police tell Fox 10 that the received a call of shots fired at about 9:45 p.m., and when they arrived at the scene near 36th Street and Oak, they found a 33-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was rushed to the hospital where he died. Investigators say he lives in the area and they found his girlfriend, who was not with him at the time of the shooting.

She told police that her boyfriend had left to meet with some people and never returned.

At this point, police have not identified the victim or released any information about possible suspects.
