Man shot to death in Sunnyslope area; suspect found hiding in car

PHOENIX - Phoenix Police say a person was taken into custody after a man was shot to death early Sunday morning near Hatcher and 11th Avenue. The victim's identity has not yet been released.

Officers interviewed several people from a nearby home to ask about the deadly shooting. The homicide investigation led police to a vehicle in the neighborhood, and inside, officers found a person hiding in the back seat. That person was taken into custody.

Police officers continue to investigate what led up to the shooting.

No names have been released in this case.
