Maricopa High School reopened after bomb threat

MARICOPA, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Maricopa High School has been re-opened after being evacuated due to a bomb threat.

The Maricopa Police Department says the school was placed on lockdown after receiving a threatening phone call at 9 a.m. on Wednesday. The caller said they would blow up the school before hanging up.

Police quickly arrived at the scene and placed the school on lockdown before evacuating it.

After performing a building-by-building search, police re-opened the campus back to students after finding no evidence of a threat.
