MESA, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Mesa police say a woman has been arrested in connection to a deadly hit-and-run collision in 2016.
According to the Mesa Police Department, 34-year-old Felicia Marie Hernandez has been arrested in connection to the deadly hit-and-run of William Hawkins, Jr. on March 6, 2016.
Police say Hawkins was walking University Drive and Alma School Road when he was hit by a passing vehicle. After the collision, the driver of the vehicle did not stop and sped away from the scene.
Based on a tip from Silent Witness, police say Hernandez was identified as the driver and she was arrested after admitting to her involvement in the deadly collision.
Hernandez has been booked into jail for one count of leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
