Rain and cooler temperatures are a welcome change in the valley as the remnants of Tropical Storm Bud move across Arizona. But heavy rain is also keeping people on alert.

Several places in the valley received heavy rainfall, trigger flood warnings. The National Weather Service reports nearly two inches of rain fell in the Cave Creek area in less than an hour. Flooding was heavy in Cave Creek, leading to some flooding on several roads such as Spur Cross Road.

A flash flood warning in effect as several washes filled up with water. The flooded wash made it a challenge for some drivers to make it across roads; many of them had to pull over for safety, while others took time to enjoy the rain.
