GLENDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - A Glendale police motorcycle officer collided with a pedestrian at 99th Avenue and Glendale on Sunday morning.
Police say at about 3:30 a.m., a police officer crashed into a pedestrian in a dark area of Glendale Avenue just west of 99th Avenue. Police say both the officer and the pedestrian were taken to the hospital.
Officers say the pedestrian is being treated for possible life-threatening injuries. Police say there was no crosswalk in the area, and neither speed nor impairment appear to be factors in the crash.
Streets in the area are being shut down, but officers say the roads should be back open before traffic moves into the area for the Cardinals game.
